Dominic’s Wish – Emmy Award Winning Story

This was one of the most memorable and meaningful stories I’ve even done.

A 28-year-old man named Dominic Moore, in the late stages of his battle with cancer, has one last wish. He wants to give his mother a professional photo of himself wearing a suit. But he can’t afford a suit or a photo portrait fee, so he asks the community’s help.

Photographer Kevin Kjergaard and I won a regional Emmy in 2008 for Continuing Coverage for this story, defeating the Minneapolis stations for the award.
